Ace UK

The Alliance for Beverage Cartons and the Environment (ACE) UK represents the leading manufacturers of food and drink cartons for the UK and European markets.

ACE UK’s objective is to promote food and drink cartons as a renewable, fully recyclable and low carbon packaging choice and delivers environmental initiatives in the UK on behalf of our members, including running the industry’s food and drink carton recycling programme.

Cartonnages et articles de papeterie (CAP)

The Federation of Cardboard and Paper Products brings together converters of flat cardboard for folding cartons, corrugated cardboard, tubes and angles, and manufacturers of paper-cardboard stationery products. It manages the national collective agreement for cardboard, defends paper and cardboard packaging, ensures economic, regulatory and technological monitoring of the sector, and participates in the sector’s training bodies.

Confederation of Paper Industries (CPI)

The Confederation of Paper Industries (CPI) is the leading trade association representing the UK’s Paper-based Industries, comprising paper and board manufacturers and converters, corrugated packaging producers, makers of soft tissue papers, and collectors of paper for recycling.

Europen

EUROPEN aims to achieve a fully accessible European market for packaging and packaged products, while protecting the product and the environment. It conveys expert information, data, opinions and policy options to its members and EU policy stakeholders about the environmental, economic and social aspects of sourcing, manufacturing, marketing, distribution and end of life of packaging and packaged products.

Incpen

Incpen members are an influential group of international and British companies who have a common interest in packaging and sustainability. They include raw material suppliers, packaging manufacturers, and manufacturers and retailers of packaged products.

ISCC*

The International Sustainability and Carbon Certification (ISCC) is an independent multi-stakeholder initiative and leading certification system supporting sustainable, fully traceable, deforestation-free and climate-friendly supply chains. This certification contributes to environmentally, socially and economically sustainable production. (*For Sonoco Zwenkau and Bradford sites as of 2024)

Forest Stewardship Council™ (FSC™)

The Forest Stewardship Council™ (FSC™) is a global, not-for-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of responsible forest management worldwide. FSC defines standards based on agreed principles for responsible forest stewardship that are supported by environmental, social, and economic stakeholders. To learn more, visit www.fsc.org

Ligépack

The Ligépack association collaborates with packaging companies to enhance their expertise, improve the quality and safety of their solutions, and reduce their environmental impact. It currently has more than 80 members and 30 partners, and it carries out services including: auditing, consulting, support with packaging design, testing and analysing solutions, and research and reports.

Sustainable Packaging Coalition®

The Sustainable Packaging Coalition® is a membership-based collaborative that believes in the power of industry to make packaging more sustainable. Its mission is to bring sustainable packaging stakeholders together to catalyze actionable improvements to packaging systems and lend an authoritative voice on issues related to packaging sustainability.

4evergreen

4evergreen is a cross-industry alliance of over 100 members representing the entire lifecycle of fibre-based packaging – from forests to producers, designers, brand owners and recyclers. Together they share expertise to develop tools and guidelines for an even more sustainable sector. The goal is to reach a 90% recycling rate for fibre-based packaging by 2030.
